Stichting Greenpeace Nederland, based in Amsterdam (hereinafter Greenpeace), takes your privacy very seriously and we work to make sure your information is safe with us. Because of this, we are transparent about why we ask for your personal information and what we do with it.
This Privacy Policy governs the information collected and processed by Greenpeace in connection with the Gas-Free Cities campaign website (gas-free-cities.org).

Analytics: Google Tag Manager and Mixpanel
This website uses Google Tag Manager (GTM), operated by Google Ireland Limited, to manage and deploy analytics scripts. GTM itself does not collect personal data but loads third-party tools including Mixpanel, which is used to collect anonymised data about how visitors interact with this website.
Data collected by Mixpanel includes: pages visited, number of visits, referrer URL, and device information. This data is used to understand how our campaign content is reaching its audience and to improve the website. Mixpanel cookies are set under the greenpeace.org infrastructure. You can reach the campaign team by email at [email protected]. When you contact us, we process your name, email address, and the content of your message in order to respond to your inquiry. Your data will be deleted once your enquiry has been resolved and there is no longer a legal or operational reason to retain it.
Hosting
This website is hosted on Google Cloud Platform, operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. As part of standard web server operation, your IP address and browser request details (such as the page requested, date and time, and browser type) are recorded in server access logs. These logs are used solely for security and technical maintenance purposes.

Third-party services
This website does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, social media embeds, or any advertising or marketing trackers. All fonts are self-hosted. No requests are made to Google Fonts or any external font CDN.
Disclosure and transfer of your information
We do not sell or share your information for third-party marketing purposes. We may securely disclose personal information about you where we have obtained your consent or where it is reasonably necessary for the purposes set out above — for example, to service providers who host our website or otherwise process information on our behalf, under at least the same level of strict conditions of confidentiality and security, or to judicial authorities where we are legally obliged to do so.
Retention and deletion
We will retain your information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, after which it will be deleted or anonymised, unless we have a legal obligation to retain it for a longer period. Contact us for more information.
